What end of support for Windows 7 means.

As of the 14th of January 2020, Windows 7 support has ended. but most people aren’t sure what this means for them or their business.

So here’s a quick run down on what has changed and how it can affect your business.

Security Updates:

As of the 14th of January 2020 Microsoft will no longer issue security updates to Windows 7. This means gaps in security on your PC will be created, giving hackers easy access.

Technical support:

Technical support will end so if you have issues with your software with Windows 7, there will no longer be specialists that can fix these.

Software Updates:

No more software updates means that most applications on your machine will stop working.  As app updates get rolled out most developers will move away from Windows 7 maintenance patches and/or development.

Essentially, in due time you’ll be putting yourself and your business at risk, but it’s not too late!
