Staff Profile: Peter Beggs.
This month our Digital Marketing Executive, Jessen Armstrong, will be putting Customer Account Manager, Peter Beggs, under the spotlight:
Jessen: Hi Peter, could you give your area of expertise as a Customer account manager?
Peter: I mainly specialise with clients that have integrated solutions in telecom, network and internet connectivity, specifically Hosted Voice and Data Connectivity.
Jessen: Could you describe the best parts of your job?
Peter: Being able to help clients resolve real business problems with innovative solutions, not only improving their service experience but also usually resulting in reduced costs.
Jessen: What’s your experience within the voice and data field?
Peter: I’ve been working with Leaf for the past 3 years, helping our clients with converged technologies such as voice, data and security and working closely with our Partner’s including BT, Virgin, Microsoft, Cancom and Host Ireland. Before that I was an Account Manager within BT in the BT Major accounts Private Sector Team looking after the voice and data requirement of some of Northern Ireland’s largest private sector organisations, providing and managing wide area networks for local and national companies. My experience span across the whole BT Service portfolio including Networks, SIP, Hosted Voice, broadband and mobile.
Jessen: What’s your favourite technology?
Peter: Any technology that works seamlessly to improve our home and working life. Whether that be smart voice operated TV’s in the home or cloud based collaboration technology that is used both at work or at home, such as MS Teams and hosted voice. The Pandemic has speeded up the need for people to be able to work efficiently from anywhere and technology should be an enabler for this. A person could be having a MS Teams video meeting at 16:00 with their work colleagues and Clients and then having a Quiz night with their friends at 18:00 using the same technology.
Jessen: What are your hobbies outside of work?
Peter: I enjoy going for long walks with the family, also plan to go travelling again once the pandemic is over.
